Homeschool Fall Bucket List

Fall is a wonderfully fun time for homeschoolers!

There are so many cool projects to do and so many fun places to visit. I thought it would be fun to put together a fall bucket list geared specifically toward homeschoolers.

My family and I plan to try to tackle as many of these as possible and I challenge you to make the most of these fun months and do the same!

  1. Visit a pumpkin patch and find the largest pumpkin there!
  2. Paint pumpkins to represent each member of your family.
  3. Go on a hayride.
  4. Bake a homemade pumpkin pie.
  5. Complete a pumpkin unit study.
  6. Take a trip to the fair.
  7. Make homemade candy apples.
  8. Do a leaf rubbing project.
  9. Build a huge pile of leaves and jump in them.
  10. Visit an apple orchard.
  11. Bake a homemade apple pie.
  12. Complete an apple unit study.
  13. Complete a Johnny Appleseed lapbook.
  14. Go to a college football game. While there, tour the college campus and learn the history of the school.
  15. Visit a corn maze.
  16. Make homemade apple cider.
  17. Go on a nature walk each week and record differences as the season progresses.
  18. Have pumpkin pancakes for dinner.
  19. Spend 20 minutes outside as a family everyday. {weather pemiting}
  20. Review the first Thanksgiving.
  21. Create a family Tree of Thanks and add to it each day.
  22. Make a scarecrow.
  23. Listen to Autumn from The Four Seasons by Vivaldi and discuss it.
  24. Learn why leaves change colors.
  25. Make math fun by using fall manipulatives {candy corn, pumpkin seeds, leaves, etc}
  26. Visit a local nursing home and give Grandparents Day cards to the residents.
  27. Carve a jack-o-lantern.
  28. Visit a military museum on Veteran’s Day and thank a veteran for your freedoms.
  29. Complete a Christopher Columbus lapbook.
  30. Collect food for needy families at Thanksgiving.

    What a fun list! I would love to do some of those things in our homeschool this fall as well. Baking a pumpkin pie and building a scarecrow will definitely make our list. Thanks!
