In my life this week…
This week started horribly with our treasured black lab, Toby, being hit by a car Monday morning. Toby isn’t just a dog, he is absolutely a member of our family. We were devastated. Thankfully, God saw us through and Toby survived. He lost an eye and dislocated his hip. After spending two nights at the vet, he is finally home with us. It will be a long healing process, but we are so glad he is here. We’ve seen God at work so many times through this ordeal. He is truly our Healer, Provider and Comforter.
In our homeschool this week…
It was definitely one of those life got in the way weeks. We still tried to accomplish as much as possible, but the first few days were filled more with prayers, tears, hugs and kisses than books, papers, and pencils. It was a learning experience all the same though.

Get some rest! You’ll be a better wife and mother if you do! I know it doesn’t seem possible, but seriously make it happen.

Today is my nephew’s first birthday and it’s party day! We are so excited to celebrate with this sweet boy!

Quite a few writing assignments. Usually I’m not a procrastinator, but for some reason this month time has gotten away from me.
I’m cooking…
Last night I made this wonderful Chicken Alfredo Pizza completely from scratch. It really didn’t take too long, and it was worth all the work. Yummy!
